We are a group of individuals from diverse backgrounds who consider the glaring inequalities in healthcare and the lack of anaesthetic provision around the globe unacceptable and want to do something about it.
Safe Anaesthesia Worldwide was formed as a charitable trust following an inaugural meeting organised by Dr Roger Eltringham in March 2011. Dr Eltringham has spent a lifetime travelling and teaching anaesthetists in developing world countries, and has seen at first hand the conditions in hospitals and the plight of the people there.
Safe Anaesthesia Worldwide is registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales. Registered Charity Number 1148254.
